4 Grand Finals – 2 Premierships

An outstanding result for the club in season 2008.

Congratulations to our U/14 and U/11 Blue teams on their Grand Final wins.
Whilst our U/17 and U/13 Red teams were not successful in their Grand Final encounters, both teams are to be congratulated on their efforts in reaching and playing in Grand Finals.

The U/11 team had to withstand a second half comeback by a spirited opposition, but were able to hold ground and run out 22 point winners for the second year in a row.

The U/14 team won the unwinable game. An opposition that had not lost a game all season, had kicked more than a 100 points in every game and had defeated them by over 20 goals in their previous encounter only 2 weeks ago. But when you have a team that is committed to each other as well as the cause, the results will follow as they did. A stunning victory and one that will be remembered for a long time. (By everyone involved).
