| 2008 AFL Footy Tipping Competition |
This year we are again running the Research Junior Football Club tipping competition through the OzTips Sports Tipping Website. Anyone with access to the internet can log in and submit their tips directly online. After each round everyone’s tips will be updated automatically. Tips can be entered week by week or in advance. There will be a weekly prize as well as prizes at the end of the season for the tipsters who come First, Second and Third. |
| Prizes | Prizes will be determined based on the final number of tipsters and will be advised once we know the final prize pool. Last year we paid out a total of $2,000 with half the prize pool being awarded during the season. |
| Cost of Entry | $20 per tipster. Any payments not made on Registration Day should be given to Mike Lester or a committee member. |
| How to Join |
| 1. | Go to OzTips.com – http://www.oztips.com |
| 2. | If you remember your login details from last year you can simply login and skip to Step 6. |
| 3. | If you need to create a new login, click on “Register” on the top right hand side. |
| 4. | Complete the Registration pages. You will need to choose a Username and Password and other preferences such as how your name shows up on the tipping comp ladder i.e. you can use a nickname if you prefer. |
| 5. | You will then need to login using the Username and Password you have just set up. |
| 6. | Once you have logged in, click on “Join a Comp”. Enter the following OzTips Competition Number and Password for Research Junior Football Club: |

| 7. | That’s it! You can now start tipping. Click on “Enter Tips” and then “Current Ladder” to see the other tipsters who have joined. |
| Rules |
| 1. | Every correct tip will get one point. Where a game is drawn you will not get the point unless you have actually tipped the draw. |
| 2. | The tipping page shows the cut-off time for each week’s tips (usually 7:35 pm on the day of the first game). If you are unable to put your tips in for any week, please contact Jacqui Chellew (see below) before the cut-off time. |
| 3. | If you forget to tip for a particular round, you will get all the away teams less one point. You can set up your preferences to receive a reminder email from Oztips each week. |
| 4. | The weekly prize will be shared between any tipsters that tip 8 correct tips for a particular round. If no-one tips 8, the weekly prize will jackpot to the next week. |
